Porcelain, as delicate as paper, light and airy at the same time, committed to an aesthetic of imperfection but crafted with absolute perfection, innovative in form and style and yet breathing the spirit of 275 years of craftsmanship tradition – that is Lightscape.
Ruth Gurvich has consciously interpreted her collection as a canvas and developed the Hunting Sketches for it: a series of watercolors full of poetry that were created during her visits to the factory. Inspired by the nature of the surrounding castle park, the Paris-based artist immortalizes deer, owls, rabbits and numerous other inhabitants of the landscape garden on porcelain using the finest squirrel hair brushes. Each piece is unique, full of finesse and character.

The Argentinian-born artist brings tawny owls, which live hidden in the gnarled trees in quiet corners, onto tea and coffee cups. Here, the wise birds with lifelike plumage show themselves to people in their habitat, even if they always remain a little mysterious. Are the owls nocturnal? Are they only active when necessary?
